Who is Orion?

Orion owns and operates the electricity distribution network in central Canterbury. Between the Rakaia and Waimakariri rivers, and from Banks Peninsula to Arthur's Pass, our network covers 8,000 square kilometres of diverse geography.

As an electricity distributor, we are responsible for constructing and maintaining an efficient and safe electricity network.
